After 15 years, Bachchan-Dilip Kumar once again in the same film in Tanvir Ahmed's Ada (Chalomumbai, 09/04/01)
Even as Dilip Kumar has returned to films with Asar - The Impact,
producer-director Tanvir Ahmed is signing him and Amitabh Bachchan together
for a film called Ada.
Both the titans are coming together after a decade and a half with this
film. It was Shakti that last saw Kumar and Bachchan cast together.
Jhamu Sugandh is the presenter of Ada and A R Rahman has provided the
music.
Says Tanvir Ahmed, "Ada is a film about four generations. Dilipsaab and
Amitji fit into their roles very well. Now, I have to sign on two more
people for the other roles. A R Rahman has done a wonderful job with
the music. He has recorded six songs, all of which are potential
chartbusters."

music.
AB-Dilip in Ada
Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar come together again, after 15 years.
This time, in a film by Tanvir Ahmed. Called Ada, the film will also
probably star Aamir Khan and a newcomer among
others as well.
Says Tanvir Ahmed, "I was looking at Dilip saab and Amitji for long.
Now, once I talk to Aamir, things will be just the way I visualised."
While the maker of Aakarshan and Mahatma is awaiting the Khan, we await
for news that could well spell another casting coup of the decade.
After all, it is not every day that you get to see Amitabh and Dilip
Kumar matching their histrionics
First news on Ada (Indiafm 09/05/01)
We were the first to break the news that Tanveer Ahmed, maker of
MAHATMA and AAKARSHAN, was all set to start his third venture, ADA, which
would be presented by Jhamu Sugandh. The latest on the project is that the
maker is planning to cast Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal
roles. According to a trustworthy source, the script has already been
sent to Amitabh Bachchan for approval, after which the maker would
approach Dilip Kumar to play Amitabh's father in the film.
Reportedly based on four generations, Dilip Kumar will represent the
first generation and Amitabh the second. It is said that one of the Khans
will be signed to play the role of the third generation, while
newcomers will represent the fourth generation.
Tanvir Ahmed has already recorded nine songs for the film, which have
been composed by A.R. Rahman. "It's true that Rahman has recorded all
the nine songs at a go. Normally, he records one or two songs in the
beginning and the balance songs subsequently, but he decided to complete
all the songs at a stretch this time," confirms Tanveer. The project is
scheduled to go on the floors by the end of this year.
