Star TV has decided to bring down the number of ‘KBC’ shows in a week. Currently the game show appears four times a week. From April-end, ‘KBC’ will only be shown thrice a week instead of four. This decision, it is being said, comes in the wake of the producers of ‘KBC’ showing apprehension that Amitabh Bachchan was running the risk of being overexposed. Moreover, with gameshows like ‘Jeeto Chappad Phad Ke’ giving away more money and goodies to participants ‘KBC’ will have to retain its charm only through the charisma of the presenter. And if people get tired of the presenter, the program can only head towards a fall in viewer’s choices. Another reason for a reduced number of telecast of the gameshow could be Bachchan’s increasing shooting schedules. Of late, Bachchan has signed quite a few films with young directors, giving a fresh lease of life to his films.
